In fact, we partnered with i=Change in the early days of Mika Creations, long before we could afford to. As a small, family-run business, every dollar mattered. There were times when investing in stock, paying invoices and growing the business felt overwhelming.
Yet we knew one thing for certain.

When Mia and I started Mika Creations, our dream was never simply to sell travel accessories.
We wanted to create products that helped people travel more thoughtfully while making choices that were kinder to our planet.
Our packing cubes, travel bags and organisers are made from natural fibres like Juco—a beautiful blend of jute and cotton—and our newer fabric a hemp linen blend for our double glasses case because we wanted to offer an alternative to synthetic travel products made from petroleum-based materials.
But sustainability isn't just about the materials you use.
It's about the impact you have.
That's why partnering with i=Change felt like such a natural fit.

Travel has taken us to some of the most beautiful coastlines in Australia and around the world.
From the turquoise waters of the Gili Islands to Australia's breathtaking beaches, we've been fortunate enough to experience incredible marine environments.
But we've also seen something heartbreaking.
Plastic.
Floating in the water.
Washed up on beaches.
Caught among rocks and coral.
It's impossible to ignore.
Plastic pollution threatens marine life, damages fragile ecosystems and reminds us that our everyday choices have lasting consequences.
That's why we chose to support Seabin, an organisation working to remove plastic and pollution from our waterways before it reaches the open ocean.
While no single organisation can solve the global plastic crisis, we believe every piece of rubbish removed from the ocean matters.

Home for us is the beautiful bushland of Eltham, on the edge of Melbourne's green wedge.
Many people refer to this incredible area as the lungs of Melbourne, and it's easy to understand why.
